General Information
TeamOnThree is a tool for competitive sports teams. As a coach, you can create a team website, manage your practice schedule online, create a playbook, and send text messages to your players. All of these features revolve around saving you time and energy.

Getting Started
Step # 1 - Create a TeamOnThree account
To create a TeamOnThree account:
1. Go to the homepage (www.teamonthree.com).
2. Click the orange Create an account button.
3. Fill out all fields on the Account Setup page.

Step # 2 – Create a coaching profile
After you create a TeamOnThree account, you need to create a coaching profile.
To create a coaching profile:
1. Login to TeamOnThree.
2. Click the Create Profile link under My Coaching Profile.
3. Fill out all fields in the profile wizard.

Step # 3 – Build a team website
After you create a coaching profile, you need to create a team website.
To create a team website:
1. Login to TeamOnThree.
2. Click the Create Team Website link under My Team Website.
3. Fill out all fields in the team website wizard.

Step # 4 – Invite your players to join your team
After you create a team website, you need to invite your players to join your team. You can do this by adding players to your roster. When you add a player to your roster, you have the option of entering the player’s email address. An email invitation will be sent to your player immediately after you add them to your roster.
To send a player invite:
1. Login to TeamOnThree.
2. Click the Add Player link under My Roster.
Note: You need to create a coaching profile and team website before adding a player to your roster. They Add Player link will be hidden until you complete these steps.

Playbook
How do I create a playbook?
To create a playbook:
1. Log-in to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Playbook.
3. Click the Create New Folder button. If you already have a folder to store your plays in, go to step 5.
4. Enter a folder name and click the Save button.
5. Click the Open link next to your folder to open it.
6. Click the New Play button.
7. Follow each step in the Playbook wizard until your play has been created.
Once you have successfully created a series of plays, your playbook will be complete.

Are there instructions for creating plays?
Yes, to view the playbook instructions:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Playbook.
3. Click the Open link next to a folder to open it.
4. Click the New Play button.
5. Enter a play name, select the background size, and click the Next button.
6. Click the View Instructions link in the upper left-hand corner of the page.

How do I share my plays with my players?
You can share your plays with your team so that they can review them at any time. This feature allows your players to learn your plays outside of practice.
To share your playbook with your team:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Add Player link under the My Roster section.
3. Fill out your player’s information INCLUDING their email address.
4. Click the Add Player button.
IMPORTANT: As soon as you click the Add Player button, and invite email will be sent to your player so they can join TeamOnThree. Once your player creates a TeamOnThree account, they will automatically be linked to your team and can view your playbook.
A player who has not joined TeamOnThree, will NOT be able to view your playbook. They must have an account.

You can edit a play at any time. To do so:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Playbook.
3. Click the Open link next to the folder that your play is saved in.
4. Click the Edit link next to the play you want to modify.
5. Make changes to your play and click the Save button.

Practice Plans
How do I create a practice plan?
To create a practice plan:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Practice Plans.
3. Click the Create New Folder button. If you already have a folder to store your plan in, go to step 5.
4. Enter a folder name and click the Save button.
5. Click the View Plans link next to your folder to open it.
6. Click the Create Practice Plan link.
7. Follow each step in the Practice Plan wizard until your plan has been successfully created.

How do I edit a practice plan?
You can edit a practice plan at any time. To do so:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Practice Plans.
3. Click the View Plans link next to the folder that your plan is saved in.
4. Click the Edit link next to the practice plan you want to modify.
5. Make changes to your plan and click the Save Plan button.
Note: Click a drill under the ‘Practice Plan’ heading (right side of the page) to edit it. The drill will appear on the left side of the page so you can make changes to it.

How do I share my plans with my assistant coaches?
You can email a practice plan to your assistant coaches whenever you want.
To email a practice plan:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Practice Plans.
3. Click the View Plans link next to the folder that your plan is saved in.
4. Click the Email link next to the practice plan you want to share.
5. Enter your assistant coach’s email address (you can enter 3 emails).
6. Type a personal message and click the Send button.

Why do I have to store my plans in folders?
TeamOnThree lets you store your practice plans in folders to help you stay organized. You can separate your plans by season (2009 season, 2010 season, etc.) or any way you want. This allows you to keep all of your practice plans in one place so you can refer back to them year after year.

Team Websites
How do I edit my team website?
To edit the information in your team website:
- Login to TeamOnThree and click the Home tab.
- Click the Edit Website link under My Team Website.
- Edit the information in your website and click the Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the page.

How do I customize my team website?
To customize your team website:
- Login to TeamOnThree.
- Click the Customize Layout link under My Team Website.
- Make changes to your team website using the drop down menus provided on the page.
- Click the Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the page when you are finished.
Note: TeamOnThree allows you to hide (or show) certain sections of the team website, upload your own custom banner image, and change the colors and backgrounds of your team profile. Use all of these features to show off your team colors.

How do I link my team website to my school or organization’s website?
If you don’t have a team website, we have a solution for you! You can link your team website to your school or organization’s website using a Profile URL.
To create a Profile URL:
- Login to TeamOnThree.
- Click the Edit URL link under the Link your team website to your school or organization's website heading.
- Create a Profile URL by entering 4 – 12 characters in the text box next to the URL, and click Save.
- Send your Profile URL to the person who manages your high school’s website.
- Ask this person to add a link to your high school’s website that points to your TeamOnThree team website (using your Profile URL).

How do I get my players to join my team website?
You can invite players to join your team website by adding them to your roster. Each time you add a player to your roster, you will have the option to invite them to join TeamOnThree. Just enter the player's email address and an invite email will be automatically sent to them. If your player accepts and creates a TeamOnThree account, they will automatically be joined to your team.

Text Messaging
How do I send a text message?
You can send a text message to every player that appears in your roster.
To send a text message:
1. Login to TeamOnThree.
2. Click the Tools menu option and select Message Team.
3. Select the Text Message radio button and click the Next button.
4. Type a message and click the Next button. Note: Your message must be 100 characters or less.
5. Select which players will receive the text message. By default, all players in your roster are selected.
6. Enter the verification code and click the Send button. Your message will be sent immediately.

Can my players text me back?
No, TeamOnThree allows you to send text messages to your player’s phones from a computer (pushes data one-way). If a player tries to reply to a text message you send, it won’t be delivered to your cell phone. Why? Because your message was sent from a computer, not your phone.
If you want a reply back from your players, tell them to text message your personal cell phone (forward their reply to your phone). We are not a cell phone company and can only push data one way (out).

Why can’t I send text messages to all of my players?
You can send text messages to all of the players in your roster, but we have given athletes the ability to block text messages from their coach (if necessary).
To see which players have enabled text messaging:
- Login to TeamOnThree and click the Home tab.
- Click the View All link under My Roster.
- Click the View Contact Information link.
- View the “Can Receive Text Messages?” column on the right side of the page. If a user has "Yes" in their row, you can send them a text message. If “NO” appears, you cannot.

Team Calendar
How do I edit my team calendar?
Throw away that old paper schedule – it's a thing of the past. TeamOnThree allows you to update your team calendar at any time, and your players will see the updates instantly.
To edit your team calendar:
- Login to TeamOnThree.
- Click the Tools tab in the main navigation and select Team Calendar.
- Click a day on the calendar or the Add Event link at the top of the page.
- Enter a Start Date and your practice information into the Schedule field.
- When you are finished, click the Save button.
Note: If you want to edit more than one day, click the “Make recurring” check box. This feature allows you to enter a week’s worth of practice information (or more) in one step.

How do I share my practice schedule with my players?
If you want to share your practice schedule with your players, you need to invite them to join TeamOnThree. The easiest way to do this is to add a player to your roster. Once you do, an invite email will be automatically sent to them so they can join your team.

Statistics
How do I enter my team statistics?
To enter your team statistics:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the Tools menu option at the top of the page and select Statistics.
3. Click the Add Game button. You must enter a game before you can add statistics.
4. Enter your game information and click the Save button.
5. Click the Edit Stats link next to your game.
6. Enter statistics for each of your players and click the Save button.

What sports are supported?
Basketball is the only sport that is currently supported. We are working to add other sports to the site. Please check back in later.

Will you be adding stats for other sports?
Yes, we are currently working to allow statistics tracking for other sports like football, baseball, softball, volleyball, and soccer. Please check the Blog page for information about future website enhancements.
