Creating football plays for your playbook

TeamOnthree playbook maker is simple and easy to use. Below we have listed the steps to get you started creating your first football play with the TeamOnThree playbook maker.

Step 1: Sign up for a TeamOnThree account. Once you signed up and logged into TeamOnThree you must create a coach and team profile before you can use the football playbook maker. The home page wizard will guide you through the process of setting up your profiles. Once your team profile has been created select Playbook from the tools menu on the main naviation.

Step 2: Create a playbook folder to create your plays in. Its a good idea to create multiple folders to keep your plays organized. We recommend seperating your offensive, defensive, and special teams plays into seperate folders to allow for easy organization. Enter a Folder Name in the text box.

Step 3: Now that you have created a football playbook folder. Click the Open button to open the folder.

Step 4: Any football plays that have been created will be listed in the folder. Select the New Play button to start creating a new football play.

Step 5: Enter the name of your play in the Play Name text box. Select the Sport drop down to select if you would like to create your play on a full football field or a smaller half field. The half field is best for offensive and defensive plays where the full field is best to use for special team plays.

Step 6:You are now ready to use the football playbook maker to create your play. There are four buttons used to create and edit your play

Reset: This button clears all of the screenshots and sets the screen shot count set to 0.
Capture: Records all of the player positions on the screens and adds them to the play
Play: Opens a new window and allows you to view the current recorded screenshots
Save: Saves the screen shots to your play and returns to the playbook folder

To get started move your offensive players onto the field(defensive players optional). When you have the players in the starting formation. Click the Capture button. The first time you click the Capture button it records the starting point for all of the players on the field. Next, move the players to another position on the field. click Capture to record the new position.

The image below shows the starting postion for a football play. In the right hand corner the Screenshot count equals one since the caputre button has been clicked once to save the starting position.

Step 7: Click and drag the football over the quarterback. Click the Capture button. The Screenshot count has now been updated to two. The animation has now been created for hiking the football. Continue to move players on the field and capture screenshots to complete your play.

Step 8: Your football play has been successfully created! Click View My Plays to view the plays in your working folder. Click View My Folders to view all of you football playbook folders. Click Go Back Home to return to your home page. You have successfully created your first football play usings TeamOnThrees football playbook maker!
